Stephanie Ann

First Dose of Pfizer on 02/21/22

Hudsonville, Michigan

30 yrs old

Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?

Normal. I was a functional 30 year old.

Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?

I received my COVID booster on February 21st, 2022. On February 27th, I woke up and within 2 hours my legs stopped working. It took 2 MRIs for the doctors to see the inflammation in my spinal cord between T12 and L1. I received 5 days of steroid treatment. I had to use my full FMLA, and that still didn’t feel like enough time to get my life together. My life is not the same because of this. I cannot run, I cannot jump, I cannot care for a child on my own, so the possibility of having a family is out of the question right now. It’s hard for me to understand why no one can be held accountable for what happened to me.

Q: Have you had Covid before?

No

Q: What do you wish others knew?

That vaccines are safe, but I don’t think they are a perfect fit for everyone. Understand the risks with a vaccine before you get it.
