Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?
My life was perfect. I was newly married and my husband and I were about to try to conceive. I just had a health screening in November 2020 where I was given a 100% healthy report from all check ups. I was athletic and always on the run.
Q: Would you like to share your reasons for getting vaccinated?
I took the vaccine because I was going to travel and it was the only way I could. My husband and daughter already both had the alpha-type covid, before vaccines came, and it was very mild for both of them. So I was not afraid of covid at all.
Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?
First dose - I felt nothing. Second dose on June 1st - I felt like something came over my body straight away some kind of heat. Then I got a stiff neck and the nurse said it was normal. The day after I started my menstrual period. It came 2 weeks early and that is not normal for me. It was very painful and extremely heavy. My breasts got very hard and I had pain like when you are about to give birth. I took pregnancy tests - but they where negative. My bleeding went on for 53 days with horrible pain. During this time, I got the flu 5 times. Each time it went to my lungs. I went to the doctor and he straight away said this was from the vaccine. He said I am in early menopause at 39 years old. I have gained 15 kilos due to hormonal imbalance. I lost all iron and have to get shots all the time. My period comes every 2 weeks, ever since the vaccine.
Q: What is your life like now, after getting the vaccine?
I am still sick 1 year later. This vaccine has ruined my life. I can't have children anymore because of Pfizer and I am constantly coughing.
Q: Share your experience with any medical care and any diagnoses you have received:
My experience with medical care was not good at all. Only 1 doctor admitted all of this was from the vaccine.
Q: Was your reaction reported, and what was the response?
I have reported to the Icelandic database. I also have been in interviews and podcasts telling my story. I also opened a facebook group for women with similar problems in my country. There are 2900 women listed in the group already. All of them with menstrual disorders after having the covid19 vaccine.
Q: Is there anything that has helped, and have your symptoms improved?
No nothing
Q: Have you had Covid before? What was your experience if so?
I got covid in February of 2022 very mild a headache and cough.. my daughter (unvaccinated) got covid 2 times very mild.
Q: What do you wish others knew?
These vaccines are dangerous and it can leave women in early menopause.
