Update on 07/13/22:
10 months after my Pfizer vaccine, I am functional. I’m no where near my baseline but am no longer letting it hinder my life. If I had to put a number on it, I’m functioning 85% better then when this nightmare started.
Original Interview on 11/06/21:
Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?
Very active work and personal lifestyle. Spent most days working then playing with my twin daughters. We were thriving as a family.
Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?
I felt dizzy immediately after the shot, I write it off as being nervous. A week later I woke up not only suffering vertigo but debilitating joint and muscle pains. I lost my ability to eat, and dropped a significant amount of weight. I developed POTS and can’t regulate my body temperature.
Q: What was your life like after you got the vaccine?
My life has turned into a nightmare. I can barely walk due to fatigue and extreme muscle weakness. I lost my job and can’t keep up with my kids. I feel a complete lack of joy, which was so abundant pre-vaccine. Family is being supportive, but also getting frustrated with lack of progress.
Q: Share your experience with any medical care and any diagnoses you have received:
My Doctor has been wonderful, but he’s at a loss on how to treat this thing. I was diagnosed with dysautonomia and neuropathy following a vaccination. I’ve had to start taking Ativan, lexapro, gabapentin, Keppra, and lots of vitamins and supplements, so far no relief.
Q: Was your reaction reported, and what was the response?
VAERS, no response
Q: Is there anything that has helped, and have your symptoms improved?
Nothing has helped as of yet.
Q: What do you wish others knew?
This vaccine is not safe for everyone. Please do your research and know these “rare” events they speak of are not rare in the least. Be prepared for Doctors and friends alike to brush you off as being delusional.
