First Dose of J&J on 07/05/21
New York
Update on 01/17/22:
I got covid again on 12/26/21 with chest congestion. I am currently recovering again.
Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?
I had covid 11 months prior in August of 2020 . I still had antibodies on 6-30-2021, but I live in NY and we were being mandated. I was 55 and a healthy adult, not taking any meds. I worked 2 jobs.
Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?
I was fine for two weeks after the injection. I developed a sharp horrible pain on 7-29-2021. I could not eat or lay down. I was immediately diagnosed with Acute Pancreatitis. They could not figure out why, as I do not drink, I have no stones, and the ILL fluid was outside the organ. I was asked what arm: I said R. They gave me heparin, morphine drip, IV, no liquids or any kind of food during my 1 week stay. It was awful as a fire was inside me for 4 weeks. I then had both elbows swell up. My fingers actually ached in pain. Then I was put on steroids for 10 weeks. I now have Autoimmune RA. No one cares at the CDC or J&J.
Q; What is your life like now, after getting the vaccine?
I’m now on Rinvoq for RA. I still can only have chicken and Turkey salad. I can not eat eggs, beef, or anything with gluten or dairy. I feel lucky to have survived, and I do work but it take 2 days to recover after a shift. My doctors both have been supportive and say I am injured from too much covid. People do not want to hear my story. They actually say to get another booster shot. Lol HELL no! No more injections for me.
Q: Share your experience with any medical care and any diagnoses you have received:
Mather Hospital was wonderful. They knew within moments I had reaction to the shot. They did not say anything but my doctors appointments all lead to me being injured.
Q: Was your reaction reported, and what was the response?
Yes from my DR and myself to J&J . They took info but never followed up.
Q: Is there anything that has helped, and have your symptoms improved?
I went for infusions. I am taking Boswellia extracts & turmeric & avoid food triggers. It’s a hard diet.
Q: What do you wish others knew?
I am not against this vaccine. I assisted 3 seniors and 7 disabled adults to receive the covid vaccine. I am injured because I had too many antibodies after 11 months. I should have waited. Those with natural antibodies should be monitored, not forced to take more covid in.
