First Dose of AstraZeneca on 03/16/21

Story told on behalf of Andrew, by Andrew's brother.
Q: What was your life like before you got the vaccine?
This is about my precious brother Andrew. He's incapable of doing this but I want his voice heard. He was a happy bubbly hard working 53 Yr old . He has 3 children and 1 grandchild. He is or was the joker in the family always guaranteed a laugh with my brother.
Q: What was your reaction, symptoms, & timeline?
He had the jab on the Wednesday morning he was great up until then. He then took to bed that afternoon and never left his bed until Saturday evening. Suffered with horrendous headaches sweats etc he nipped over the road and was found in his car suffered a massive stroke.
Q: What is your life like now, after getting the vaccine?
Andrew was in a coma for around 6 weeks with rods in his brain tubes up his nose down his throat and we were all not allowed to see him due to covid restrictions . He spent 4 months in ITU and hdu they didn't think he'd live, but he has albeit without speech and the use of his right side and also his cognitive behavior is not as it was. So 9 months after it happened he's now home just over a week ago but his physio and speech therapist are now not able to attend the house to help due to (once again) covid restrictions.
Q: Share your experience with any medical care and any diagnoses you have received:
Medical care when he was in ITU and HDU was amazing and I'll never be able to thank them enough. The care he received after leaving there and going on to a stroke ward was absolutely appalling. He fell out of bed twice they also gave him 2 glasses of water when he was nil by mouth and he basically was drowning so was rushed back into ITU and put into an induced coma. He then returned to the stroke ward after a week and was basically left in bed on his own with a TV shoved in front of him so that he was less work. Appalling.
Q: Was your reaction reported, and what was the response?
Asked for my brother to be tested to see if it was the covid jab that caused this - no results returned.
Q: Is there anything that has helped, and have your symptoms improved?
No he's unable to talk walk his life is now stuck in a bed or chair.
Q: What do you wish others knew?
I just wish we could have the truth
